In the beginning of 2006 Fastwel is launching its new VME CPU board – CPC600, a highly reliable COTS product for mission critical VME systems. The board is equipped with Intel® Pentium® M processor up to 2.1 GHz and supports up to 2 GB of DDR SDRAM with ECC. All components including CPU, SDRAM and 32 MB solid-state disk may be soldered onboard, which provides superior shock/vibration resistance (50g/5g). This CPU Board works reliably in harsh conditions at the extended temperature range from –40oC to +85oC.

CPC600 has four Gigabit Ethernet ports and two Serial ATA channels, Live Insertion support, smart temperature control, HW monitor and watchdog timer, which altogether make CPC600 ideal platform for robust redundant systems.

CPC600 processor board I/O capabilities can be expanded by installation of a Rear I/O RIO680 module. It adds flexibility to the system by providing the following interfaces: two COM ports, LVDS and SVGA connectors, two USB 2.0 ports, optoisolated remote reset connector, two SATA channels, programmable LEDs, FDD, HDD, LPT and audio interfaces.

Key element of crash safety subsystem is 32K nonvolatile RAM where user application can keep critical data and system log, which should be kept even if power fails. CPC600 also has 64K EEPROM memory for user applications. The board has multi-drive direct mounting feature – it supports 2.5” and 1.8” HDD simultaneously. MTBF of the CPU board is 85 000 hours.
