Fastwel has announced the release of a new module based on the Vortex86DX3 processor for creating embedded computers in the PC/104-Plus format.
This form factor is appeared through adding a 120-pin PCI connector to the top part of the board. The application of the PCI bus made it possible to expand the functionality of the systems due to PCI compatible functions such as video, Ethernet and others. In this case, the PC/104 Plus boards are fully compatible with all the devices of PC/104 standard via the ISA bus.
